ご相談事項は：論文を書いているとどうしても"and"の連打になってしまうことがあって、今回の文章に限っては、目に余るぐらい"and”が続いているから何か対策はないかということでした。
"and"のほかに”whereas"なんて使ってみてはどうでしょう？と提案
元文章：Plan A increased expression of X and Y in heart, and Plan B significantly reduced the up-regulation of X, but not that of Y.
改定後：Plan A increased expression of X and Y in heart, whereas Plan B significantly reduced the up-regulation of X, but not that of Y.
"and"の連続使用が避けられただけではなく、読みやすい文章に変わっています。
